Fire Alarm System

Fire Alarm Systems Design

A fire alarm system has a number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present. These alarms may be activated automatically from smoke detectors, and heat detectors or may also be activated via manual fire alarm activation devices such as manual call points or pull stations.

Type of Fire Detectors

The two main types of fire alarm systems are conventional and addressable. The various
components that make up these systems are either automatic or manual.

Conventional fire alarm systems

A fire alarm system has a number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present. These alarms may be activated automatically from smoke detectors, and heat detectors or may also be activated via manual fire alarm activation devices such as manual call points or pull stations.

Addressable fire alarm systems

Addressable fire alarm panels are usually much more advanced than their conventional counterparts, with a higher degree of programming flexibility and single point detection.

Fire Hydrant System Design

A fire hydrant system is a safety measure or emergency equipment required in some buildings that comprises a series of components that when assembled together provide a source of water to extinguish fire using using fire firghing equipments as Hydrant landing valves, RRL Coupling Hoses & Branch Pipe with nozzle, Hose box, Hose Reels & supply of water etc.

Fire Sprinkler Design

The design of any fire-protection system is an exact science that takes into account a building’s use, occupancy, footprint, and even its other installed systems. In a standard wet-pipe sprinkler system, each sprinkler activates independently when the predetermined heat level is reached. Thus, only sprinklers near the fire will operate, normally just one or two. This maximizes water pressure over the point of fire origin, and minimizes water
damage to the building.

There are four types of Fire Sprinkler
